(269,063 posts)Tomorrow night will be in the 60s in Kingston. We may actually close windows
On the other hand the temperature in Mandeville is already in the 60s and I have no doubt that fireplaces are lit. Seriously one of my cousin's had a fireplace in Mandeville. She sold the property a few years ago and moved to Ochi as her kids are all overseas and her hubby died.

(11,343 posts)It was scary and it slithered VERY fast up the stick I was holding. I screamed like a madwoman, dropped the stick and ran. We also have copper heads and rattle snakes. No maneating pythons though.
This hippy, country girl is plotting her escape!
Hope you have a great rest of your day!
I would have done the same. Don't migrate anywhere until you check out the state of health care. Ours has deteriorated significantly. If you have insurance and resources, you're fine - if not -Hmmmmmmmmm - lengthy waits are the order of the day.
Enjoy the evening.

And he's not even messing with me! He's quite serious and is always a bit surprised when the Kelvin isn't meaningful to me.
But he is good about patiently answering all of my many questions about everything.

(269,063 posts)Your son is clearly light years ahead of our understanding
I will calling my son to tease him (assuming they may be getting that cold spell as well)... he and girlfriend are rebuilding in U.S. Virgin Islands until the end of this month... he often calls just to tell me he is headed to work in shorts and will be at the beach later
hey, stay warm

After this it will heat up fast.

(60,010 posts)It's in late spring/early summer when the temps drop from high 70's/low 80's, down to low 70's,
and you put on a light shawl, 'cause "it feels a mite airish" but you do not want to go into the house yet if you are sitting on the deck.
As opposed to real summer when no one sits outside, too hot, too many bugs.

(50,279 posts)We got news there's another Nor'easter headed our way on Wednesday. I hate March. We get teasers of spring and then a pile of snow. It seems neverending.

(269,063 posts)I remember back in the 70s I went to Denmark for the birth of a nephew.
My big sister's is law decided to take me to a beach - it was early October. I had on my winter coat - she had on her bikini. I didn't go near the freezing water.
Enjoy the Appleton.
