No it's not The Matrix. No it's not Terminator 2. No it's not Wargames. You can literally name any end times movie you want that could describe the scenario that we're living in now. But there's only one flick that does the best job of describing the world that we're living in now. You know which movie best describes the end times scenario that we're living in right now? The World's End. If you've seen the movie, you know where I'm going with this. If you haven't then watch it now.
Yes, the movie where Simon Pegg recruits his former grade school drinking buddies who went on an epic bender to celebrate their high school graduation. That movie has seriously the most accurate scenario for the world that we are living in now. And I will explain why.
So in the movie, Gary King, played by Simon Pegg, decides to go out and recreate that magical night where he and his best friends all got annihilated drunk. He lays the scenario out perfectly. They take his car - a 1989 Ford Grenada Mark II, called "The Beast", drive it into Newton Haven, hit 12 pubs and drink 12 pints - finishing the job they once started.
Now here's where the movie starts to mimic real life. As Gary and his friends hit each pub, they worry that something has happened to their beloved hometown. As they hit the 4th pub - that's when things start to get harry. Gary gets in a fight with some very realistic looking robots that they soon begin to start calling "blanks".
You might be asking "how does this mimic real life"? Well let's go back to the time before Fox News, Facebook, and Twitter. You know when people were much more civil to each other. You could actually have civil discussions. Sure, politics are always a tricky subject going back to the dawn of man. But Fox News, theoretically, has unleashed "the blanks".
In "The World's End", two of Gary's own friends are replaced by blanks. And they couldn't really tell who they were, or what was behind this until the evil plan was revealed. In real life, Fox News, accompanied by AM hate radio and the perpetual hate machine that's been created by a 24/7, heavily one sided propaganda machine.
So in real life, there have been countless stories of people they once knew becoming shells of their former selves because they have bought into the 24/7 hate propaganda machine. This is where the end times blanks scenario comes into play. Fox News is replacing our former friends' and loved ones' minds with blank copies of themselves, where they have merged into the cult. You can't question their logic. You can't reason with them. And they can't reason with us.
They have fallen into the mold of "The Network". And here's where real life differs from "The Network". In the movie - the Network reveals itself to be the creator of a more civilized society on earth. In the real world we're living in now, the job of "The Network" and all who have fallen under its' spell - the goal is to create chaos and disorder.
You can see it all over the world. It's not just limited to the United States. It happened in England. It was going to happen in France. It is happening right now in Italy. But we haven't figured out the source of The Network. Unfortunately it doesn't end at the bottom of the 12th pint. But even if we were to dissolve "the Network", there will still be your blank friends believing what they believe in because they choose not to believe anything differently, or educate themselves with what is happpening. So I say while the world is burning around you because of people who have fallen under its' spell, drink up.
