Newsweek: (Surprise!) State Dept "brushes off" 'sex experts' story and refuses to help her

http://www.newsweek.com/us-escort-bizarre-story-trump-russia-scoop-833740

Excerpt:
"The report of a meeting in the presence of an escort—or several escorts, as Navalny claims—is not only embarrassing for both men but could also constitute a bribe, he argues. The pair also allegedly discussed politics and ties with the U.S. aboard the luxury vessel. Deripaska has expressly denied any illegal activity or having any affair with Rybka. Russian authorities threatened both Instagram and YouTube with blackouts if they do not take down Navalny’s video post about the incident.

The clip swiftly drew in millions of views and shortly afterwards Rybka and a group of her fellow sex experts were arrested in Thailand. She has since made several pleas for help from the U.S., offering to trade her insight into the alleged collusion between Russia and members of President Donald Trump’s team. Crucially, Deripaska has done business with ex-Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort and at least one of Rybka’s posts suggested the two men on the yacht were discussing relations with the U.S. She has claimed she has over an hour of relevant audio recordings but will only trade them for political asylum."

1. Mueller needs to convince an ally (Canada, Australia, UK, Germany) to give her asylum.

It just might be to the entire world's ultimate benefit to take a gamble on her.

1) Trump/State says 'naaaaah, not helping', knowing it will goad the Dems into action ...
2) Congressional Dems get all "Hey what are you covering up Donnie! Why not help Her, what are you afraid of!!"
3) Trump says "FAKE NEWS!"
4) Something scary happens at the prison to the Lady (purportedly), pics of her with bloody lip & black eye or something.
5) Dems double down "No REALLY you have to help her out! She's in danger! Trump RECKLESS!!! HIDING STUFF!!!"
6) Even Faux joins in (who are already in the know) and implying she should be brought over, so Trump magnanimously acquiesces, brings her over to US,
7) Turns out though that all she ACTUALLY has ... is stuff that's already known, nothing about Trumpence, only weak evidence on Manafort, maybe another peripheral player or two.
8) Trump declares SEE!!! No Collusion!!! Fake News!!!
9) Vlad calls Trump ... "I see we play well together, Comrade!"
10) More intelligent Dems say to themselves ... 'will we EVER LEARN to spot the Ratfucking Rove Playbook ... BEFORE we are ratfucked?'

She was on a boat w/Deripaska and the powerful Russian Bureaucrat, and filmed at least some part of it.

Not enough to convince me it's a good idea for Dems to get involved in any way. If some other country like the UK wants to exert diplomatic influence and get her over THERE, that's one thing. Or if Trumpie just up and does it, okay w/that too.

If she really has evidence against Trump on collusion it's pretty dumb to expect his administration is going to help her out. Logically she asks every OTHER powerful Western country that's NOT the US, that she knows doesn't LIKE the US particularly due to Trump.

Also, where is the evidence located, BTW? How does anyone know that it's still there/that she can actually safely get back to it? Would it have to be physically recovered under escort by US agents? You'd think so, they'd not want her out of their site til evidence provided. If it's not physical evidence but on a server somewhere, someone could've maybe already found/wiped/destroyed.

I think this is a 'setup', all the way.

I just found the diary, website, and how the boat schedule all check out.
No, I think just the simple intel found in the details of this episode is enough of a clue.
I do not think it worth going get her either.

Where was she when she posted the video that caught Navalny's attention? I ask because it seems like the prudent thing would have been to try and contact someone in the US (or ally country) prior to posting the video and blogging about these meetings.

I'm not denying that what she says is true, but it does seem a little strange that, only after Navalny made her famous, she is seeking asylum. Maybe I'm missing something?
