the dictator of destitute and impoverished No Korea, is a huge status coup for Kim Jong-Un. Now, at last, he is getting the recognition and prestige he believes that he is entitled to as a member of the nuclear club. He will see Trump as frightened by his weapons capabilities and impressed with his military displays on parade.

Trump is likely flattered by having a tyrant (he really does admire those men) ask for a face to face meeting, and he'll eagerly sell out the country for a little praise.
