(574 posts)The "profit" column is easily manipulated and likely pales in comparison to the actual (net) dollars Trump hotels took in from foreign agents and agencies. Frankly, it is just shy of impossible to come up with a "profit" related solely to these foreign entities. If it ain't raw data, it ain't worth reporting.
Kinda like Trump's tax returns. Don't tell me what's in 'em, show 'em to me.

(16,254 posts)That's the trouble with habitual liars. Once the people catch on, they don't believe anything you say. As for the amount "donated" to the US Treasury? I call "Fake News". I'd have to see the canceled check. Both sides. Witnessed and notarized.
Forgot to add: We need an audit of the hotel books...both sets.

(16,104 posts)'Knowing that all profits from foreign patronage at our hotels and clubs will be donated to the Treasury, we gain nothing as a business from them,' he explained.
And 'while we maintain strict separation of church and state from the administration, we purposely want to avoid any and all instances where anyone could claim "impropriety".'
'For these two reasons foreign government business is not business we want nor business we seek,' he said. 'In fact, to be blunt, we choose to avoid it wherever possible.'

In other words: We cooked the books consistent with our preferred accounting practices.
The comments are hilarious, yallerdawg.
