A buddy in the UK just contacted me (confirmation needed)...

...and told me about a last minute change in the program for the Olympics opening ceremony.

Apparently a large show was made of the NHS and Britain's universal health-care for the benefit of certain Americans in attendance.

I gotta run out to live life for a bit. Hopefully someone here will find a link.

There were an awful lot of people, and and awful lot of props, costumes and choreography to be able to pull that off in a short time.

They have been rehearsing this for weeks. You can't just add something like that at the last minute.

I can hear the teabagger heads exploding even as the ceremony is being televised.

They don't know how to reason, only how to believe or disbelieve.

in the middle of the program. Apparently according to the BBC Feed (I didn't see the NBC/USA Feed) but, according to BBC, these are REAL Doctors and Nurses who participated...not actors or volunteers.

It was a salute by the British to their NHS and I don't know what the US Media did with it...but, the British TV had no problem with it.
