As the Primary Season Begins and Continues

Please remember that the Democrats who win their primaries for legislative and other office are the ones elected by Democrats in their own districts. They are the ones who are most likely to be successful in the general elections in November.

The primary campaigns end on primary election day. People often support Demcratic candidates during primary campaigns who do not win. That's what primaries are for. They help select the candidate most likely to win in November.

Once the election has been held, however, it is non-productive in the extreme to continue the primary campaign by attacking the winner of that primary. Our Democratic general election candidates need our support, not attacks.

I am suspicious of any Democrat or "progressive" who damns with faint praise any other Democratic candidate who has won a primary election. Why on Earth would anyone do that? We need every Democrat to win in November.

Please support all Democratic candidates on the General Election ballot and GOTV for those candidates. To do otherwise is folly.

It's not necessary for everyone to be exuberant about every Democratic candidate and it has never been so.
