I'm probably with many of you on this...I don't care, as long as Karma prevails.
With Mueller, it's stone-cold legal issues.
With Daniels, there's an added layer of public humiliation that will become his legacy.
And yes, there's no reason why it can't be both.
Your thoughts?

(115,838 posts)Stormy's scandal can come fastest (probably almost as fast as .45 himself, meow), but Mueller would be the biggest and strongest stake through the heart of his blighted administration.

(26,290 posts)Winning in PA will be a major humiliation, for trump*. I suspect the Stormy issue will be more of a public humiliation for Melania, so let's add that she's had enough and leaves, after a few choice revelations of her own. Then the Mueller storm can hit.

There is absolutely nothing that will get the republicans to impeach and convict.
Like Caesar crossing the Rubicon with him Army, they have passed the point of no return.

(59,504 posts)Here are some of the possibilities:
Mueller ends his investigation and gets an even longer list of plea deals and indictments and possibly, a narrative given to Congress to use as the basis for impeachment. Given that it is already March, it is unlikely that the House would have the time to hold the hearings needed to get a vote on impeachment AND it is really hard to see Ryan even moving in that direction. If the charges are as well documented and dealing with what is essentially working with a hostile country to win election, that alone will have a major impact on any close race in 2018 - especially if Ryan is blocking it.
OR
Mueller waits until after the election and IF we take the House, there likely would be impeachment hearings. It is then likely that he is impeached, quite possibly on a party line vote - just like Clinton. However, if 2018 is a drastic lost for the Republicans, there may be many Republicans who see writing on the wall suggesting that they do not want to be labeled as supporting Trump. If that happens (and I think it unlikely) unlike in 1998, the Senate vote might not be a party line vote. However, an impeachment on the type of issues that Mueller is investigating would cripple him for 2020.
