I feel today like I felt 11/9/16. I know what a sham the House investigation was. I do. But damn if the trumpers and faux news haven't just been given a bunch of red meat today. I'm so sick of watching this traitor and his merry band of traitor-tots, day after day after day, getting away with almost everything.

(14,587 posts)I actually don't feel disgusted and fed up. Reason: I've engaged with my local Democratic party and am going to actively support people running for state and local office. Remember how the Tea Party did it? That's what we need to do, and now I'm engaged!

(51,627 posts)I have channeled all my anger and energy that goes with it into activism and RESISTING! Tomorrow I go the the Border Wall at the US/Mexican border where the moron is going to see the prototypes. Wed I am walking out with fellow educators, parents, students, community members and local govt officials at the Ed Center is San Diego. I call and write all the senators and a lot of congressmen, I donate in small sums, etc. I have made by hand bumper stickers, pins and earrings that I give away for free when I engage strangers in political discussions. It makes me feel less frustrated and like I have have contributed in a small way.

(7,964 posts)Disgusted. Sickened. Angry. Shaking my head. Frightened. Did anyone catch Phil Mudd on CNN saying that the report "isn't worthy to wipe my ass on." Everyone agreed what 45 will be tweeting at 3:00 tomorrow morning...

(9,670 posts)The fact is, these Republicans can do whatever the hell they want and they know they'll still get the votes.
If our party behaved this way my shame would affect my vote. Apparently Republican voters know no shame.

(31,530 posts)CNNs Phil Mudd on Monday had a remarkable reaction to the conclusion by Republicans members on the House Intelligence Committee that Russia did not interfere in the 2016 presidential election to help Donald Trump, telling Wolf Blitzer if the report was written on toilet paper, I wouldnt stoop to wipe my ass with it.
Their responsibility was not to represent party, Democrat or Republican, but to represent people, Mudd said. How do we protect the next election? The last 30 minutes, Wolfyou give me one sentence where somebody spoke about how theyre going to protect us instead of saying this is why the other party did something wrong.
If this report were written on toilet paper, I wouldnt stoop to wipe my ass with it, he continued. These people owe us more. They gave us less. Thats what I see, Wolf.

(14,565 posts)I have no idea why people pay attention day to day when the big picture realities are so crystal:
* Republicans won't turn on Trump or his devotees
* Every method to stay in office and suppress votes will be seized
* Disgraceful behavior will become increasingly commonplace and accepted, leading to a rise in Trump's approval rating
* Our party is in good shape toward 2018 and down the road, but not in great shape toward 2020, which is underdog status against an incumbent
* Mueller will have plenty of damning evidence but no way to prove it or attach to Trump, who will loudly proclaim victory once it fizzles out
I'll stick with those points six months from now or two years from now.
I don't believe in devotion to details or changing my mind. Everything tends to drift back to the big picture beginning, as long as that scope is clear.

I'm just so tired of watching the GOP get away with thing after thing day after day. I will channel my anger into action, as I have in the recent past, but today just really pissed me off.
