16. I believe ultimately that the Russia scandal will destroy

the Republican party. They will go like the Whigs.

I think the Dems will step up and will ultimately form two parties - a more conservative-leaning (but still sane) party and a progressive party.

I mean, we already see some of that on here. I'm a New 'New Deal' Democrat - basically supporting Bernie's platform, but some on here are a bit more conservative about proposed policies. And that's definitely OK. That is how the Founders wanted our government, plenty of negotiation and compromise to move forward.

Right now, though, we need to focus on sweeping EVERY Republican out of office this November. If we can flip both houses, THEN we go from there, but that is the overarching goal.
