on to the thought that our country will still be in tact for us to vote for change.
Hour by hour and day by day the assault continues. Because those in power have turned a blind eye and deaf ear to the destruction, have by complicancy, enabled his daily and hourly boldness.
He will continue, because he can.
What will be the final straw?

(8,275 posts)how the privileged French sided with Hitler and believed in his vision. The French resistance essentially had to fight not only the Nazis, but their own countrymen.
It happened. We keep waiting, and dithering. Are we the people we have been waiting for?

(68,595 posts)In response to D Day her entire town was executed including her children and husband. She was away that day...But she persisted and in the end the Nazis were driven out of France. My friend was much older than me...born in 44. She was the product of rape too. What we face isn't even close to what happened back then...and if we keep fighting , we won't face such a thing and will defeat Traitor Trump.

I don't know what it is you have in mind, but whatever it is, it won't work.
Voting works, if we do it. I suggest you start working on that. That's what we have to work with.
Trump is evil. We must get rid of him, and we already have the means to do so. There isn't another way that will work.
Time to get busy, my friend.

(8,275 posts)specifically during the 2016 presidential cycle. I have run for political office, losing twice, winning twice. I have been an activist for 50 years, arrested twice.
I have never seen or experienced what this country is going through now.
I must see things differently than others here....I am just very very concerned and can only imagine the destruction we will suffer before November election.
Maybe everything will be fine. Maybe it won't.

(8,275 posts)We are in a race with destructive forces. Our only weapon is one person, one vote.
There are approximately 33 weeks until the November midterm election. Being generous, if he only does one outrageous destructive thing once a week (as opposed to once a day)...that gives him 33
opportunities to further erode our democracy.

So far for all the doom and gloom predictions, Trump has been very ineffective politically. They passed one major law. They failed to kill the ACA.
The latest idiotic anti-abortion law was overruled. The wall hasn't been built. We aren't rounding up immigrants or Muslims. We've got kids marching for gun control.
Trump's natural inclinations are undermined by his own incompetence.
Giving in to despair and hopelessness only helps Trump. He's used to people rolling over for him. He's not used to working hard for things.
