During the airing of PawPatrol on Nickelodeon this popped up. Not only did both of my little ones start crying because they dont know why the one show I let the watch in the morning was not on but @Nickelodeon you pissed this Mom off! Dont drag my toddlers into this!

(13,783 posts)...to interrupt the fun of little people too young to even read the message, never mind understand it.

(37,748 posts)The station's demographics targets the 2-17 age range which certainly indicates a rather wide range of "little people".
Seems if they're young enough to get gunned down in school, a 17-minute blackout is at its worst, merely benign, rather than "misguided," as those too young would simply see a dark screen.
I know, I know... a dark screen: "the horror.... the horror."

(269,049 posts)She could have read for them or let them watch a movie.
Fugg that shit.
FUCK THEM! She had a 17 fucking minute disruption in her life because Nickelodeon decided to support a cause that directly impacts their audience.
As compared to those 7,000 mothers, fathers, friends, teachers, and family members of students killed in schools in the last 6 years.
Each and every one of them would give much more to have a chance to be with the kid as compared to 17 MOTHER FUCKING MINUTES!
I fucking don't give a wet fart, a fucking turdette, a fucking shit, about her 'inconvenience' as compared to the others.

(2,064 posts)Apparently thats the only tv she lets them watch in the morning.
I imagine she had been busy since the little ones woke up (at the crack of dawn) and this show lets her sit down for a few minutes.
I would not have been happy with that situation, especially if I wasnt expecting it.

(3,191 posts)Then tell the kids LOOK WE HAVE FRESH BAKED, bundle them in the warm jammies and read to them. They fucking loved it, much better than PawPals or whatever this woman was yammering about.

(269,049 posts)the street was closed for three hours. These greedy assholes own several other branches across the island but they chose to bawl about their NK business being closed for three hours.
We haven't spent a freaking penny there since and will never ever buy food from them.

(23,957 posts)even if the later episodes were kinda trash, i haven't seen anything that can compete head-on with the sheer oddball-comedic power of powerhouses like Stimpy's Invention or Space Madness.

(3,608 posts)well in front of her. I don't see one moment where she is reflecting on what the 17 minute break is supposed to mean and what it stands for. What a selfish and short sighted woman she is.

(2,404 posts)toddlers are already "into this."
They might be safely parked in front of the TV set for now, but it won't be long before they are in a school classroom. This involves everyone, like it or not.

(2,064 posts)Sorry, Im not going to hate on this lady. I dont see selfishness, I see the exhaustion that comes with young children.
I dont know for sure but strongly suspect that she is at home alone with two toddlers and the 10:00 Nick show is her break time, maybe her first break since whenever the little ones woke up, usually very early.
Its only 17 minutes, yes, but thats a long time when youre exhausted and two kids are having a meltdown.
✌️ peace out

(15,696 posts)My favorite line from that Goldie Hawn movie, Deceived, is when she asks parents, "Isn't anyone in charge around here?"
The 17 minutes can be explained when they're older, but she'll also have to explain her dumbass tweet... Betcha this isn't her only one, either.
