The death penalty for drug dealers. AKA let's harm POC more and ignore the problem...

I know this isn't anything new and is obvious but it certainly will disproportionately harm people of colour if implemented. Prisons are already filled to the brim disproportionately with blacks and other people of colour for crimes ranging from mere possession to dealing. I'm not trying to downplay that drug dealing has negative consequences and fuels violence, gang culture and other issues. But as always it's a complicated socioeconomic issue rife with issues of systemic racism and poverty.

Meanwhile the hotbead of the drug abuse problem, middle America are hooked on opiates LEGALLY. So unless you are going to put to death doctors willing to over prescribe and CEOs of pharmaceutical companies that push millions of pills into small town America, you are only catering to the racists by announcing this.

Which of course is what Trump does the best.

There's no need for tougher drug laws because people will always find a way to get drugs, right? Right?

It would be a way to neutralize individuals working in community groups that are viewed as threats to the establishment. It happened in the 60’s to the Black Panthers to name just one example.

...I'm pretty sure it will be used to further another cause dear to Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, suh's alleged heart: the abolition of medical and recreational cannabis in states which voted to legalize it. Is anyone going to own, finance, or work for a pot shop if doing so means the risk of winding up on death row?
