Olson is said to be reviewing the offer while weighing potential conflicts with his clients at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he is a partner, one person close to him said. Another person familiar with the discussions said Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conway recommended Olson to the president this week, but it was unclear whether Olson would accept. He previously declined an offer to join the team.

If he doesn't decline, and signs on, I suspect a short-lived relationship, as trump can't adhere to any rules/guidelines likely required by Olson.

He helped win the legal fight for LGBTQ rights, and has been fighting for one or two other causes that progressives support. I have issues for what he has stood for, but he does seem to have some integrity, I will be surprised if he joins Trump's legal team and would be surprised to see him stay if the does. A better choice for Trump would be the lawyer who is always fighting for rightwing causes before the Supreme Court, the guy Olsen helped beat (with Ço-help from democratic super lawyer David Boies) in the LGBTQ rights case.

It's just possible that he's a lawyer with enough respect for the law that he can see past partisanship ?

I allways thought he might have some integrity left. Didn't he work on the side of gay marriage?
