(18,402 posts)Both governor races, the AG, and Lipinski (fortunately, not in my district; I did momentarily think of voting for the young upstart in my district, but reconsidered and voted for the incumbent, who's going to win anyway).
I'm most interested in AG. I thought I would vote for Kwame, but after watching a debate I was so impressed with Sharon Fairley (and sadly, so unimpressed with him) that I made her my choice. (And she's a woman to boot.) But I think Kwame will win that too.
In essence, I think all the front runners will prevail in these races (with the exception of the Lipinski race), because the opposition vote will be too split.

(16,375 posts)I really don't want to have to vote for Pritzger in November. Yes, he can match Rauner dollar for dollar, but his campaign has been too reminiscent of Rauner's last time around for my comfort.

(8,758 posts)That much is obvious, looking at the returns. If one or the other hadn't been there, the race would have been closer. I'm not sure if Biss or Kennedy could have toppled Pritzker, both didn't run very good campaigns.
Biss had messaging issues with his voting record and Kennedy was invisible for most of the race, was quiet all fall and winter and then popped up at the last minute.
Plus Pritzker ran away with all the key endorsements, not just Dem Party endorsements, but key unions and both the Trib and Sun Times.

(8,758 posts)Due to a screw up, there are no people up for an open 2 year seat. If there is no one, then scumbag Rauner gets to appoint a crony to pollute Chicago's water.
So Dems are being asked, and not very well, to write in Cam Davis for #69. He needs 10,000 votes to get that spot.
