President Trump on Friday moved to ban most transgender people from serving in the military.
Trump issued a memo Friday on policies determined by Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, stating that transgender people are "disqualified from military service except under limited circumstances."
"Transgender persons with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria -- individuals who the policies state may require substantial medical treatment, including medications and surgery -- are disqualified from military service except under certain limited circumstances," the memo reads.

(31,261 posts)During the General election. If people that deserve to suffer for supporting him given everything that was known about his past actions were the ONLY people suffering, then I honestly would not care. But a lot of good people who oppose him will suffer and that is something that we must prevent from happening.

(31,261 posts)One of my siblings was bisexual (passed away). I was a lot younger, but I saw how he struggled with being bisexual at a time when that could get a person killed in Florida. For the life of me, I can't see why an LGBTQ person would EVER support someone like Donald Trump, and republicans in general.

(63,221 posts)walk for me so very easy. MA is very supportive of this. I feel so lucky to live in a state/city that is so anti-gun. A friend of mine is a state rep and is a huge supporter of this march as well. Best of luck to you tomorrow! Where in Hawaii are you?
