Idea: when a corporate sponsor claims a seat at a #london2012 event, LOCOG should apply their logo to the seat. No sitter = name and shame.

(29,582 posts)There's a reason Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium is a cathedral: There's never an empty seat. It's incredibly loud and exciting.

(26,289 posts)Maybe Willard's people BOUGHT those seats with the INTENTION of leaving them empty so that when he made his stupid remark about the British not being enthusiastic, it wouldn't look so, ummm, stupid.
Ok, that's a real stretch, and I'm sure people could come up with much more interesting and totally unfounded theories.
