Were these two CHILDREN leading the crowd chanting:
"What does democracy look like?"
And the vast crowd answering
"THIS is what democracy looks like!!"
I was holding back tears...the children are woke and their voices were heard loud and clear!
My senator, Tammy Baldwin, my congressman, Mark Pocan, along with inspirational students and teachers from Madison schools spoke to an energized crowd of men, women, children of ALL ages, disabled veterans, etc.....all of us enduring not so pleasant (cold temps!) weather. But we all came together as one....and it was a moment I will reflect on forever....✌️☮️

(17,019 posts)I led a couple rounds of it at my local march. So very, very cool that the young men and women are engaging in the political process. IMHO, it's our roll, as the oldsters, to support them and I'm loving every minute of it.

(7,349 posts)as we were marching to the capitol a little boy, I'd say about 8 years old, wearing a Green Bay Packers hat, started it up all by himself with no prompting! We were on the move, it was too cold to dig out my phone for a pic, so settled for a hug and "great job my man!"....needless to say I got a hug back, a huge smile and a "thank you"....his parents were beaming with pride!
