Trump Gets Blasted By Impeachment Lawyer That He Tried To Hire

BY JASON EASLEY at Politicus USA

https://www.politicususa.com/2018/03/26/trump-gets-blasted-by-impeachment-lawyer-that-he-wanted-to-hire.html

"SNIP...........

Trump tried to hire Ted Olson to defend him in case impeachment proceedings are brought, but Olson blasted the turmoil surrounding Trump and made it clear why he would never work for him.

.........

Olson said on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, “I think everybody would agree this is turmoil, chaos, confusion. It’s not good for anything. We always believe that there should be an orderly process, and of course, government is not clean or orderly ever, but this seems to be beyond normal.”

There is no way that Ted Olson would ever work for Trump, and his comments explain why no decent or talented person would take a job on this president’s legal team or in his administration. Chaos and amateurism do not play well with the type of professionals and experts that presidents need to surround themselves with. No president in the last century has needed to be surrounded by good people more than Trump, which is exactly why this president’s ability to repulse quality people is creating a self-defeating cycle of failure.

Do you remember when W was hit by a pretzel? I always imagined it was Ted Olson who put the pieces together after 9/11 and punched W in retaliation for the loss of his wife. Oh, the satisfaction if only it was true.

When he shot Harry Wittington, his 73-year old friend, who later APOLOGIZED for getting in the way of Cheney's gun and for any stress this has caused him. Whoa! As I recall they waited for hours before calling the police to allow Cheney to sober up first.

It really is sad.

You probably know this already, but - it was John Roberts who clued in W's Supreme Court team on how they should argue his case. Roberts had clerked for William Rehnquist. He knew that WR's obsession was with the Equal Protection clause. So Roberts advised W's team to present W's case as an Equal Protection issue. And W's big wet kiss to Roberts was the Chief Justice job when WR fell too ill to serve.

He beat the pants off Gore's Boies, and his letting Boies join him for Gays was a salt/wound thing.
