Stormy's lawyer is being smart. He's going to let little bits out at a time to keep it in the news and the media heat on Trump. All of that media pressure will lead to him getting a deposition out of Trump.

Assuming Stormy is telling the truth backed by the $130,000 payoff, that media pressure will probably lead to:
a) Trump continuing to deny and getting nailed for perjury - impeachable offence from the GOP in the Clinton days and major defamation damages
b) Trump caves and admits it's true and his behavior to bribe someone and pressure them to lie with threats might get support as grounds to impeach

Either way, he's hurt in the polls and Melania will cash in.
Either way, his lawyer is in deep do-do
