(51,604 posts)CNBC said that the other tech stocks will be facing similar problems as the question of data mining and security becomes more well known. It will take years for Facebook to correct this problem. The market has been on a roller coaster and this will continue due to tariffs, trade wars, etc. The tech industries will now be exposed to the same roller coaster market problems/consequences.

(51,604 posts)My financial adviser (my 84 year old dad) was helping me to figure out my taxes and I have the ACA with tax credits and it is very confusing. I was sarcastic and said to my dad, "Oh boy, look at all the money I am getting back from the moron's tax cuts". My whole family is Dem but my dad didn't understand at first that I was being sarcastic and you should have seen the look that he gave me! We both went on and on over the deplorables being so thrilled over a tiny tax refund that has already been spent on increased EVERYTHING! He has an AT&T pension and has not had a COLA in 18 years which equals a huge cut due to inflation, etc. The same happened to me as a teacher when we got no raises or COLA for 5 years and our pensions were based on that. I am going to die soon and will lose all of my savings and my family's since my needed surgeries to stop the pain temporarily will bankrupt us before I die. Isn't that just lovely?!?!
