Controversy brings publicity. That is what she wants.

Trump did this to help win a Presidential election. Say/do something insane or controversial and get free publicity. Keeps you from being a has been, and then try to turn the publicity to your advantage (increase your following, make money, get more face time). If she can thread the needle and get enough people to take her side against, say, those politically correct snowflakes in the other side that cannot take a joke, it will be considered a success. If not, she has plenty tof $$$$ to retire with.

I honestly do not believe Coulter/Limbaugh believe half the shit they spew, they are entertainers playing to their audience. If there was not so much profit, they would tone it down.

Not funny in the least and anti-semitic by definition.

eta:

Prior to her Trump Twitter takeover, Barr was perhaps most infamous for a photo shoot in Heeb magazine titled “That Oven Feelin.” In the shoot, the Jewish Barr posed as “Domestic Goddess Hitler,” showing off her Nazi armband and pulling burned “Jew cookies” from the oven. While the shoot was eventually pulled from the Heeb website, rest assured that Roseanne’s Hitler spread really puts Kathy Griffin’s latest antics into perspective.

Only a few comedians can pull off a Holocaust joke. Mel Brooks comes to mind and even he'd say there are limits.
