3. The bar for plausible deniability is set pretty damn low for his gullible followers

It has to be since tRump is really stupid and a bad con artist. That's quite possibly the most infuriating part of this mess: it is SO obvious!

The Mercers? Are they that smart or devious? A Bannon with their funding.

I don't give wha'cha'ma'call'em that much credit. He's a puppet of pooten.

This goes back to something like SPECTRE in James Bond.

12. They're really not. Extremism is incompatible with wisdom.

Extremism requires profound dishonesty to support its attitudes, and...GIGO, as Mercer himself might have once said.

Trump is mentally disordered, not insane but miswired and missing some important pieces. He has a severe inability to concentrate and would have been astonishingly ignorant in 2016 for a 27 year old, much less a 70 year old. He's volatile and unstable, a man who can't trusted with a secret or to not turn on a coconspirator for the pleasure of hurting him. Just in terms of competence, any lower level Mafioso could take him out with one hand. Pence would probably have him shot the first hour if a religious takeover were possible, which it isn't of course.

I believe that Trump conspired, Russia conspired, and that domestic enemies conspired to use him to subvert the election to take power away from their big enemies, us. The Democrats.

Hard to see any way Comey wasn't working with those last. It seems highly unlikely that he woke up one morning and just decided on a whim to betray his nation, in the process putting his career on the line and even risking a long sentence in a federal penitentiary.

But he does have the intelligence to get out of the way if Putin orders him to.

11. Abramson is ok, but suspect - esp. on his theories. And Josh Marshall has an answer

Check out the Josh Marshall podcast to answer Abramson's question. Most recent ep with Asha Rangappa.

Basically, there doesn't need to be ANYONE orchestrating things (Russians have several intelligence agencies, all designed to attack and weaken America; Prince and Flynn and Kushner all looking for ways to make money, possibly separately).

But there could have been.

(as for Abramson, he's really not great for insight. Read John Schindler, John Sipher, Asha Rangappa, Natasha Bertrand. And Josh Marshall.
