Rural west Michigan.
Temps are still cold. We got just above an inch Saturday, already melted. But 8" isn't going to melt that quickly.
I have a heating oil delivery scheduled for tomorrow. I hope the truck arrives early. I am very low on heating oil. Went through over 500 gallons so far this past winter. Oh boy! $2.499 per gallon.

(40,416 posts)I usually put it above 450 at the beginning of winter. It never gets me through to summer. Heating here in the national forest ain't cheap. My furnace is pretty damned old, but is easy to service. I do most of that myself. Simple mechanism. The building was old in 1900!

Here in sunny west central floriduh the shelves in the grocery stores empty on a thunderstorm anymore.
Have you ever metal detected your property? I bet that would be way cool.

(31,464 posts)In Connecticut. It was still snowing at 1:00 pm, and we wound up with over 6". But then the temps hit the mid 40s and it melted pretty quickly.
