Painter was having none of it and really went off when Hewitt made some crack about how people in MN couldn’t understand how things were done in DC (wish I could remember this more clearly).

And, how long was your lease? A year? DC area landlords charge a huge premium (sometimes 20-50%) if you commit to less than a year, or are on month to month, etc., like Pruitt’s. I had a $2500 per month lease on a 2 BR in a less central area than CH and if I wanted to extend it month to month, it was to go up to $4200 in 2016.

They corrected his lie about staying with Friends, when it's lobbyists you can't stay with, but Hugh got em on the point that "the ethics chief approved it"

That's the only talking point the GOP cares about with this scandal right now.
