State Department confirms that Russia can replace the diplomats, alleged to be intel officers, expelled last week.
US "is not requiring the Russian bilateral mission to reduce its total number of personnel" a spox says. New accreditation to be reviewed on a "case-by-case basis.”

The Kremlin was boasting and laughing about this on Russian TV two days ago. Putin enjoys showing there’s no limit to the humiliation Trump will accept from him. Helps him rally his gang facing sanctions.

or, did Putin orchestrate the whole charade since some of the media has been taken in by this farce of diplomatic expulsions.

5. I have no facts but I think this was all orchestrated when Trump made that private

phone call to Putin in his residence a week before he announced the expulsions. I can just hear Putin saying to Trump " okay now, this is what we'll do." We only found out about that phone call because the Kremlin announced it.
