Tom Friedman on MJ: "The biggest threat to democracy is in the oval office. He is a truly disturbed

man. If this were any fortune 500 company, the board of directors would have thrown him out. In this case, the Republican party is the board of directors. This is very disturbing..." Said we are beyond code red.

I mean Obama "cheated" the country by becoming President as a non-citizen and presiding over 8 years of prosperity and hope and decency despite being an immigrant Muslim black man...you know, that kind of cheating.

I read this weekend where they have 2, 3, and 4 year old children and up defending themselves without parents or lawyers present in immigration court. One of the judicial administrators maintains that these children understand everything perfectly if you just take the necessary time with them. That he has taught immigration law to these children and they do understand it. WTH! Link to article below:

Sorry, not exactly on topic but this does show how out of touch tRump and his cretins are with real life.

It's not Trump talking bullshit when going off script in a speech, or in a tweet that he'll change his mind about in a few minutes. It's a trained judge, in sworn testimony. Either he is, as you say, completely out of touch with real life (out of touch in the way that someone held in solitary confinement from the age of 12 to 52 would be), or he cares so little for the rule of law or thinks the gullibility of Trump's supporters is so high that he can say any bullshit he feels like, under oath, to achieve the aims of a xenophobic regime.

This of course was the boardroom comedy where Paul Newman plays a chairman of a major corporate board, whose board members (including himself) plot to deliberately crash the stock price in order to buy up a controlling share for cheap.

Same idea - but without the great acting (of course though: with the GOP base, you don't really have to).
