That said, let’s stop doing it in a way that sells out our own principles in the process.

Does Amazon provide value by selling things and getting them to us at a discount? Yes.

Does that excuse the fact that they are a shit employer?
No.
Does it change the fact they pay their employees pennies?
No.
Does it change the fact that they work the shit out of their employees for those pennies.
No.
Does it change the fact they are anti-union and work against unions, in and out of the US?
No.

While they provide a unique scope of services it is NOT a company we should be putting on a pedestal much less hailing as some sort of ally to Democratic causes.

1. It has not a damned thing to do with Amazon--it is that the "President" of the US is

using his position to settle personal scores and reek vengeance against individuals, institutions and companies that are hurting us ALL.

2. I have to disagree on some points

I agree this is trump’s way of getting at Bezos and the WP but I have read lots of posts defending Amazon as a business and Bezos.
I know people that are part of the IT staff at amazon and they are treated like trash and the warehouse staff get it worse.
They drive the shit out of them and don’t give a damn about them as a employee (or person). That isn’t one opinion but many.

Is trump an idiot and a racist and many other shit things? YES.

Does that mean I’m going to defend Amazon’s business practices?
No.

3. You seem to miss the point that he is DESTROYING what is left of USPS in the process...

though it has been reported that his advisors have REPEATEDLY pointed out that Amazon is keeping USPS afloat and that it is Republican Congress's demand that they PRE-PAY retirement and other benefits--something no other institution, agency, or business is required to do, that is crippling them.

He, like RW congress wants to privatize everything. And we are all the losers if we lose USPS, regardless of what happens to Amazon.

You might note, that i have said NOTHING in defense of Amazon's business practices. Like Walmart, they are hurting local and small business and workers. But, that is an entirely separate issue and not at ALL behind Trump's attacks. He doesn't give a damn about that.
