4. Most conservatives will just brush it off as nothing

without prison time. Conversely, most have a tendency to support authority and turn against people who are convicted and sent to prison. Very similar to acceptance of otherwise nice people going to hell, they must deserve it or it wouldn't happen.

What caused the change back in the 1980s from our national culture of shrugging tolerance toward drunk driving to widespread severe intolerance is that, pushed by MADD, our court systems started arresting and jailing our friends, thus rebranding them as criminals.

So, I hope this man gets prison time. If only we could fast-track indictments and prosecutions of our cabinet secretaries.
