I can't quite figure out the sentence.
Mr Trump said Nato has taken many billions of dollars more than they would have had
if you had crooked Hillary Clinton as president.
Is he saying Trump has given NATO more money than Clinton would have?

That said, in context, it seemed clear that he was claiming that NATO has made more $ since he began causing discord and confusion, and insisting that other countries pay their fair share. Hes basically saying he has improved NATO.

(52,243 posts)(they don't, they commit to spending that amount for their own defense);
and from the observation that some nato members have smaller defense budgets than that;
he is trying to pretend that now nato members are spending more simply because donnie complained about it during the campaign and is now potus.
and he is trying to pretend that this wouldn't have happened had hillary been president.
you can see the elements of a con man at work here, but he's so pathetically bad at it.
he lies like a con man, but he's too obvious.
he claims credit for the sun coming up but he's too obvious.

it's another thing for us as democrats to marvel at how much they like him despite his obvious blunders.

(10,829 posts)on his ranting meds. The man's ability to organize and articulate a cogent thought is zilch. I'm sure he was trying to say NATO, his perceived enemy, would have bilked the US many billions more under Hillary Clinton.
He can't even keep his hate thoughts straight!
