2. There is a part of me that really wonders about that.

Even if the Trump carnival wasn't smart enough to keep from painting Trump himself with this, maybe these Russian operatives are. They were undoubtedly running the show, they wouldn't trust bumblers like Bannon, Stone or Trump Jr. to do it. Obstruction is also a slippery thing to prove as well. I know Trump is guilty, I just don't know how willing Mueller would be to prosecute a sitting President without a clear-cut, indefensible case. I could be wrong, but the way things have been going I don't take anything for granted.

Maybe that isn't the best thing anyway. I doubt Pence would be any better, in fact he might be worse because he might actually get things done and he is a true zealot. Hopefully, regardless of the outcome, the scandal will continue to escalate and things will help bring a blue tidal wave at the midterms. There are a lot of ways to reign in a president if you can pass the laws.
