Geraldo Rivera told Hannity last night that the immigration crisis "is manufactured"

Rivera sparred with host Sean Hannity on Thursday after saying he thought reports of the caravan had caused an overreaction.

“I think this immigrant crisis is manufactured,” Rivera said. “I think it’s an overreaction to the so-called caravan of 1,000 that is now broken up in the southern city around Puebla … They are seeking asylum.”

Rivera insisted with “absolute certainty” that illegal immigration was at a record low.

“Illegal immigration across the southern border is near 46-year lows,” Rivera said. “We did have a spike in March, probably having to do with the demand for agricultural workers here in the southwestern part of the country.”

"Isn’t one murder, isn't one rape enough" to crack down on immigration, Hannity asked.

Editing to add that I just read that Rivera made similar remarks on Fox & Friends this morning, where he had Brian Kilmeade agreeing with him at times, but the other two hosts arguing with him

Rivera continued to say that Trump didn’t make the most out of the positive messaging available to him, and he also said Trump’s claims about massive voter fraud was a “manufactured crisis” that couldn’t even be proven by the commission he assembled to investigate it.

“They didn’t find any meaningful voting fraud,” Rivera said. “And then you had the caravan which conjured up a ‘brown tide’ washing over the southern border, and all these people abusing our immigration laws.”

I imagine that ruined Fox & Friends for Trump this morning.
