How long with Larry Kudlow last as economic advisor?

New Director of National Economic Council, chief economic advisor to Trump.... CNBC financial broadcaster.

Will he last longer than the Mooch. Yes. But less than John Kelly? Less than Kudlow's predecessor, Gary Cohn, who lasted 13 1/2 months? That was a pretty long stint for a White House cabinet member.

I'm guessing that at about a year it will become untenable for both Trump and Kudlow, although it may take a while to find a replacement.

so, was in his mid 40s in the mid 1990s. Not exactly young.

He had worked in the Reagan White House prior to working on Wall Street, so probably had a pretty high salary going into a job on Wall Street.

Interestingly, he was very liberal politically in the 1970s and helped coordinate protests against the Vietnam War and also worked on Senate campaigns with then Yale student Bill Clinton. He later became a big supply-sider during the Reagan years.

He probably made at least a few million dollars/year. Maybe his spending & drug habit was why his second wife divorced him - he spent the family into debt?

That would be a huge amount of coke, Scarface levels.

Prices have varied widely from the classic $100 per gram to more like $30 when Kudlow was supposedly doing the most. That works out to 1-3 KILOS per month for one person, 30-100 grams per day!!! Even sharing with the hookers, that is a lot.

It would be a lot at $100,000 for a year. That would still be 3-8 grams every day.

Even for a trading floor awash with coke, that would be a lot.

Maybe the $100k per month included the expensive escorts and expensive booze and wine.

Some of the best advice I've gotten is from Cramer. The serious analysts poo poo him, but they're jealous. Cramer has a proven track record of successful investing of funds for others (and himself). But no analyst is always right.

He's pretty good at spotting a bottom vs a false bottom. Less successful at whether a company will do well in a particular year; stock prices sometimes have little to do with the fundamentals of a company.
