1. Is it easier to drive improvements in the Economy and market or to drive prices down?

2. You know the answer to 1, so then you have to ask, would dipshit Donnie do something that personally harms many as long as he can gain?

You know the answer to that question too. He is downright stupid, but he is also greedy, and there are people around him that aren't stupid, but are equally as greedy.

And aside from our Social Security and modest pension, are looking at those things to help sustain us into our twilight years. After the roller coaster ride out of the Bush years and through Obama’s help, we saw an upward swing in both 401k and our company stock. We actually, felt hopeful that, while not rich, we’d have something to make sure we are not in poverty. With tRump’s interference in things we are watching the gains slip away. It hurts and infuriates because we are planning on waiting until 70 1/2 to start withdrawing (according to the rules) a monthly stipend. Maybe a roll over. Not sure at this point. But who knows what will be left?? Gee, thanks, you Asshat.

I hope the know nothings who voted for this fool are happy with what they got.

"I'm stunned. OMG, TRUMP HAS BALLS."

It's called escalation. I'm surprised the Chinese were even willing to get into a pissing contest with Trump. They should have enough intelligence to know Trump is not going to blink and the deal will not get better.

Thanks, Donald. We had a nice run up in the markets the past few days, but the Dow futures are now down 450+ points.

I love this guy (and voted for him), but could someone PLEASE start getting a filter on him? He’s costing millions of people real money.

BTW and FWIW - I’m as much “America First” as anyone, but there are dynamics here that are FAR beyond the Donald’s ability to manage.

Great Depression 2.0, anyone? Tariffs started the first one in the 20s. Let’s not forget history.

Market has topped for the next 5 years.

If Trump wasnt big enough to build the wall, he lost, how is he big enough to take on world trade. Nothing more than Trump bluster. Something to rile up the troops while potentionaly hurting the economy. Why?

Could cause a depression, not recession. Everything they've done is damaging our economy, and when it all becomes effective, then we'll be looking at a much worse situation from what trump's done, and is doing, then ad another war he's going to cause, it'll be worse. He'll have excuses , then blame others for what he's done, again, if he's still in office. Excuse, excuse, excuse. He's really good at excuses from years of doing that in business conning others. The real question is, is he doing this on purpose to hurt our economy?

an intended effort to put the USA in total chaos both economically (emotionally) and stressfully (hatred) in order to take complete control of the country through their sugar daddies and mommies and with the help of the Russians who along with GOPers stole the election for t-rump because he is the "total" idiot.

But, now I see that the sugar daddies and mommies may get extremely hurt by this power grab (think 1929). Ya think they would have learned.

does our ability to sell our house and move back north. It was always going to be a hit to our funds, but a loss of fund value right now is more than a little troubling with expenses piling up just to prepare our house for resale, figuring out how much the physical move of goods will cost and finding a house in Pa we can actually afford.

So much winning!!!

Recovered around 190 points from its low for the day before closing. It will be interesting to see which direction the market goes on Monday. The recent pattern has been for triple digit gains to follow triple digit losses (albeit with the gains being smaller than the losses).
