Russian meddling in 2018 will be

to cast doubt on the Democratic landslide. They will hack and change a handfull of votes to the Democratic side and make it easy to find.

Or they may do it another way.

But that will be their goal - discredit the Dem. win.

Reps have been silent because they helped them. And Russian money has been pouring into their campaigns for years now. PLus they have their puppet in the White House.

But if Russia's goal is chaos in the US and to harm our Democracy, what you're describing would be the perfect action for them to take. Hack the voting machines and make it obvious while flipping votes to Dems. The Reps would not accept the rest of the results and their would be chaos.

If they wanted to be really devious, maybe they'd flip a couple reliable GOP districts to the DEM by impossible landslide votes. Say a GOP house district in Alabma where a Dem never gets more than 30% of the vote suddenly goes 85-15 in favor of an unknown Dem.
