Following the blockbuster news that the FBI raided the office of President Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, The attorney for adult film star Stormy Daniels tweeted out that this could all end very badly for Trump and others. After sending out that tweet, Michael Avenatti called into MSNBC’s The Beat and said that he didn’t think Cohen would be able to stand the heat.

With the New York Times reporting that federal prosecutors obtained a search warrant after receiving a referral from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and the Washington Post reporting Cohen being investigated for bank fraud and campaign finance violations, Avenatti was asked by host Ari Melber if he felt sorry for Trump’s personal attorney.

“Well, part of me just because of the seriousness of this matter,” Avenatti said. “This guy I think has been put in a position where he is going to be — he is going to be expected to be the fall guy, the scapegoat. I don’t think he is going to hold up.”

Stating that anyone who tells you how tough they are isn’t really that tough, Avenatti claimed that Cohen will likely roll over.

“I think when push comes to shove, he is going to fold like a cheap deck of cards, Ari,” he declared. “I really do. With that said, I don’t — I’m not applauding or high-fiving anybody’s offices being raided by the FBI. It’s very, very serious matter. And I think that this is the first significant domino to fall.”
