Scott Pruitts Civilization-Threatening Lie

From the day he walked into Congress as the nominee to head the Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt has been trying to foist a colossal lie on the American public.

“Science tells us that the climate is changing, and human activity in some manner impacts that change,” he said that day, 14 months ago. “The human ability to measure with precision the extent of that impact is subject to continuing debate and dialogue, as well they should be.”

In other words: We do not know enough about the risks to take any action. Burn that coal, baby!
Mr. Pruitt, confirmed by the Senate in a close vote, then proceeded to begin dismantling the modest regulations on climate change that the Obama administration had put in place.

This is not just any old white lie that Mr. Pruitt has been telling. This is a civilization-threatening lie, a lie that will kill people and destroy small nations, if not some large ones. Future generations will see him as a man guilty of a major historical crime, along with his enablers in Congress and their puppet masters in the fossil-fuel industry.

Crap, man ...I'm letting all my geeky liberal homies know ... we got to take to the streets!

In particular, my doughy nerd friend, who rarely swears, but who loves to wear his florescent green "Science - It Works, Bitches" t-shirt.

No doubt he'll rock it Saturday if I can get him off his butt ...

Science is Sat and the Tax March is Sun. I still have my signs from last year's marches.
I got a flu shot but I guess it wore off since I got it on Thurs and still have it along with a high fever (104.2 last night which is actually lower). I have three layers on plus: gloves blankets, goose down duvet and a space heater blaring on me and it is 78 outside! Last night my teeth chattered so much trying to sleep that I had to bite on my sheet to muffle the noise.

I am glad you and your friend can go. Try to spread the word. RESIST!

Climate change does not go by country. China and India use about 7 times the coal that the U.S. does. If future generations look at anything they will look at that, not who was in charge of the US EPA for a few years. Why people wish to ignore or excuse China and India I don't know.

No one is arguing China or India are not culpable... but I get it: you need to argue against that which is not argued.

That aside, when discussing one individual's perspective of climate change, and that one individual is on the cusp of leading the EPA, what China and India (and Russia too... or are you simply "ignoring or excusing them"?) do or do not do is moot to that individual and his possible appointment.

Bless your heart. I'll give your narratives credit-- they are both consistent and revealing.
