Why We Can't Have Nice Things

So I was at a fast food restaurant, and on the radio comes this ad for this faith-based accounting firm (note: I wasn't at Chik-Fil-A in case you were wondering). I didn't think anything of it until they openly start bragging about how they helped - and I'm quoting from the ad directly - "hundreds of ministries avoid the IRS". Which is pretty much code that means that they have helped "hundreds of ministries" cheat and swindle the IRS to avoid paying their share of taxes. And the IRS is one organization whose bad side you do NOT want to be on. But to hear these guys actively bragging about this on the radio, my jaw hit the floor! Oh and then my favorite part of this ad - they called themselves "the last of the good guys". All I could think of was "Hey, your fraud trial.".

Right wing Christianity - why we can't have nice things.

I live in Orange County - a very deep red area in an otherwise blue state. Our representatives are Dana Rohrabacher and Ed Royce if that's any indication.

Wouldn't that be like letting a chimp do your taxes and having faith it will out work out?

Man, people are such suckers.
