Stormy Daniels lawyer to Trump: What's dead is using attorney-client privilege to hide illegal acts

Stormy Daniels lawyer to Trump: What’s dead is using attorney-client privilege to hide illegal acts
BY LUIS SANCHEZ - 04/10/18 09:01 AM EDT

Stormy Daniels’s lawyer Michael Avenatti said on Tuesday morning that attorney-client privilege is not dead, as President Trump had stated in a tweet earlier in the day.

“What is dead is using the privilege to hide illegal acts,” Avenatti wrote in a tweet. “And that has been dead for a long time.”

Earlier on Tuesday morning, President Trump tweeted that “attorney-client privilege is dead” after it was reported that the FBI raided the office and hotel room of Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, on Monday.
