My guess is that trump wishes he had never run for president.

His bag of tricks on how to get out of trouble for the crimes he commits doesn’t seem to be working.

As a private citizen he was able to escape from any type of responsibility for his evil ways.

He’s a second-rate con artist surrounded by second and third rate bullies and crooks. They always thought they got away with it because they were too savvy and sophisticated to get caught and believed they could take their grifting to another level in the White House. But, in reality, they just weren’t important enough for law enforcement to really give a shit about them. And they’re slowly learning that they aren’t even close to being ready to playing in the big leagues.

Like you, I’m sure they’ll all wish they had stayed in New York pimping out their brand and laundering Russian money under the radar.

And how could he have the audacity to think he could get away with all his evil and lawless ways as POTUS?

He wanted to get back at the "Black guy from Kenya" who roasted him at the White House Correspondence Dinner.

13. I don't think it started that way

I don't think Trump thought about Obama until his rallies started ramping up and he knew he could rally his nutjob base with Hillary and Obama name calling and references. He knows all he has now is his red meat base so anything anti-Obama is in his immediate vocab.

I agree he never really wanted to do this but I think he became intoxicated with the hypnotic crowds at his rallies and then the aspect of being able to make money from being President. No there's no way out but to go down swinging.

6. Trump's biggest mistake was running for president

He was always able to stay under the radar with his scams.

Now, the bright lights have been on him and everything issuing revealed.

When this is over, it will be shocking to discover all of Trump's criminality and the question will be, "How in the world did our country elect this jumo?"

Perhaps our country will improve in the aftermath of the Trump debacle. One can only hope.

8. Or wish he'd accepted defeat

(he did actually lose, after all).

If he was the defeated KGOP candidate, and not the president, any attempt by the Clinton administration to punish him or anyone else for all their wrongdoing and treason during the campaign would be denounced as "payback" by spiteful Democrats.

He should have bowed out when it was clear he'd lost the popular vote by millions.

Or better yet, yes, never have run at all.

9. Quite possible.

He may have assumed from the start that he would never win against a professional political operation so he was never concerned about all the accountability and responsibility that would come with the reality of holding the highest office in the land. He was mainly in it to boost his "brand" and grow his fortunes.

And then he accidentally "won." Oops!

just to avoid being humiliated on election day. Oops!

I would probably call it an "accidental" perfect storm of electoral college, Comey email announcement, Stein votes, Russian mischief, etc.

unless he never decided to run for president in the first place. The presidency is the only reason he is not jail right now after all the laws he and his campaign broke to win the presidency.

15. Trump expected to make bigly money talking about how Hillary "stole" the election
Tue Apr 10, 2018, 04:25 PM

It was to be a cash cow he could milk for a very long time.

A number of sources have said that Trump and his closet aides were surprised by his win and were totally unprepared to assume office.

Flip about 150k votes in just three states and Trump would have popular reality tv show on the air, giving speeches that he is very well paid for and selling trademarked mechandise to millions of fans who despise and downright hate President Hillary Clinton.
