Another Evangelist bites the dust - This one I take real delight in

Okay, Aladamnbama. Evangelist Acton Bowen, 37 years old, has some child molestation charges against him currently pending. Now he’s got seven more charges.

He faces two counts of second-degree sodomy, two counts of enticing a child for immoral purposes and three counts of second-degree sexual abuse, according to jail records.

He was booked into jail on a $500,000 bond.

His wife filed for divorce. And then …

On Friday, two of the ministry’s board members stepped down, include attorney Trenton Garmon, who worked as an attorney for former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore
during his failed campaign bid for U.S. senate last year.

I mean, this can't just be a coincidence.

Their playbook seems to be:
*Fetuses must be brought to term, no exceptions (sorry, rape and incest victims!)
*Once born, force mothers to work (making kids more vulnerable)
*Take every opportunity to deny chidren education, healthcare, childcare, food, etc.
*Defend pedophilia, including child marriage (no minimum age in 25 US STATES, others as low as 13 years old)
*Promote known pedophiles to serve in public office to ensure all of the above continues

http://www.al.com/news/birmingham/index.ssf/2018/04/abuse_by_alabama_evangelist_la.html

One of the victims, a teen boy over the age of 12 but under the age of 16, said Acton Bowen exposed him to deviate sexual intercourse from 2006 through 2009. Another victim claims the abuse happened from 2014 through 2017 and yet another reported to lawmen that he suffered the abuse from January of this year through earlier this month.

Bowen's sitting in the Etowah County Detention Center on $500,000 cash bond, which his attorney is trying to get reduced because "there is not competent evidence or probable cause." I don't know about y'all, but 12 years of alleged pederasty is a pretty good reason to keep him locked up.

It's not like this hell-bound individual was using his so-called ministry to find targets for his perversion, even though that's exactly what he was doing.

And I really have to know: how come ALL deviant preachers are into same-sex fuckery? According to the Very Hard Right, the Bible has exactly two passages:

Leviticus 18.22 - "Thou shalt not screw other men."
Leviticus 20.13 - "If we catch you screwing other men we'll kill you both."

Then we catch someone like this, and what's he been doing? Yup: Screwing other men.

One of the biggest reasons Martin Luther broke away from the Mother Church was Catholicism's practice of selling indulgences. Obviously the "evangelical" movement is back at it, in ways the Catholics never could have imagined.

Acton Bowen is a self-described "star evangelical preacher" and best-selling (self-published) author from Alabama that no one outside Alabama had ever heard of before he was arrested early last week on charges of "second-degree sodomy, enticing a child to enter a vehicle or house for immoral purposes, and second-degree sex abuse." The victim was a boy over the age of 12 and under the age of 16.

After all, they voted for - and still staunchly support (and even love) - the "grab 'em by the pussy" guy. This is that same kind of thing! Only just with kids for targets, not women.

I guess it's the "baby-killer thing." Can't vote for a Democrat because baby-killer. But after that baby's born, boy-oh-boy, ANYTHING goes. LITERALLY anything. Up to AND including molestation and sexual assault.

I know the numbers aren't vast, when you measure them against the size of the population...but that number should be ZERO.

My wife used to have professional contact with Jeff London, who had her (and everyone else) convinced of his incredible sincerity, and being a testament to true faith. The two of us are very lukewarm when it comes to faith, and much cooler still when it comes to categorized religion, but she really admired him for 'walking the walk' as she used to put it.
