It seems that Wolf Blitzer is Hosting A CNN News Hour every other hour..
He's simply is inept in asking the tough questions..especially when interviewing a Republican Congressman.. IMO he's way beyond his expiration date!

(47,496 posts)Why on earth is that boring, lifeless man such a "star" on CNN? He is the primary reason I quit watching CNN years ago. How can anyone listen to that voice and stay awake?

(13,466 posts)I don't find him at all engaging.

(14,627 posts)As someone else in this thread wrote, he doesn't ask any tough questions.
But, hey, at least he's not a woman, or a person of color, or a gay person, right? Elderly conservatives can't handle news from anyone who is not an older, white, male, authority figure.

(47,496 posts)He is not offensive, its just that he is not much of anything. A robot could do his job.

(47,496 posts)and I find him duller than dirt, yet they give him more good time slots than anyone else. Maybe he is blackmailing some executive? His only real qualification that I can remember, was his reporting from Iraq during Desert Storm.

(7,398 posts)There were several young, fairly new reporters covering those stories and they were collectively referred to as "Scud Studs." Although Arthur may have been the first to be given that nickname.

(4,407 posts)For the most part, they are ALL bad. They have so much time to fill and they will interview/have as a guest pretty much anyone with a title or a little notoriety. They are afraid to ask tough questions because that will deter them and others from submitting to an interview.

(13,466 posts)I just started watching CNN again because this Trump fiasco has some breaking atrocity every 15 minutes or so. Once all this HELL is over I seriously doubt I will continue watching because then they will probably try to equalize the parties again, acting like Republican lies are equal to Democratic truth.
