I know hes got his flaws but I have laughed more at his fearless baiting of that fool who hijacked our administration than I have anything else in this entire nightmare.
You GO, Buddy!

(5,210 posts)And really both love and hate are huge exaggerations of how I feel.
I think he's great in many ways, but I also recognize that at the heart of this, no matter how worthy the legal issues (and I have some doubts about that), he is a first-class showman, and sometimes his hucksterism gets a little overly so to me. Or even a lot overly so.
BUT, he's extremely competent, extremely disciplined, and I love the way he handles himself in an interview. Very even-handed, professional, well-spoken, reasonable, etc.
I also like the way he sticks up for Stormy Daniels at a personal level. That speaks well of him to me.
So -- I'm of two minds on the guy but definitely eager to see more.

(5,106 posts)More and more behavior that's "a little over the top" needs to catch on with those who have to deal with the Orange One.

(5,210 posts)In fact, if that's the question, he's just about perfect. Doesn't mind getting his hands dirty, but still highly principled, articulate, firm, hard driving and unbending. Yup, perfect.

(108,980 posts)but the lawyer is the one everyone thinks is HOT!
And part of the reason is that he looks so damn smart. That expression of his, even when he's standing by her side at a press conference. It's like he's scanning the whole scene, taking everything in. Not letting anything get by.

The best line I've seen so far: "I'm going to make a prediction now: I do not think the President will serve out his term".

(7,220 posts)He knows a con and a bully when he sees one, and he's more than up for the challenge--he's actually enjoying it.
Plus he's standing up for the type of woman (those in the sexuality biz) who normally get belittled, taken advantage of, and not taken seriously by even the best of us. It's another form of sexism that's totally condoned by puritanical, pearl-clutching Americans, and it needs to stop. Stormy's a human being, a mom with an unusual job that the vast majority of men (and many women) are fine with in private, and then ostracize the very women whose product they so enjoy (albeit in secret). It's a bullshit double standard made so much worse because sex work is mostly illegal in the US.

(11,564 posts)He is, as you say, both hilarious and fearless...and his contributions to the common weal, as it were, more the cause along a little bit more. He quite likel won't ever shake the earth, but incremental progress is still progress.
