(61,697 posts)is that the thumb, not exactly as he presents it, is a "Gig'em" sign for the school. It is a greeting from afar. Fortunately, it is not the only hand sign used by students.
And I have a different one for him besides this one:
I use that gesture often when watching the news.

(63,221 posts)Everything about him is annoying, but that has to be one of the most annoying things he does.
Take your short, fat, stubby little thumb and shove it up your rectum.

(47,573 posts)Apparently no one taught Donald as a child that it is rude to point.
I also can't stand the way he holds a microphone. Somehow it looks really creepy. He should just keep his hands out of sight or learn how to use them properly.

(63,221 posts)That drives me insane!! All his hand gestures drive me insane. You would think with such small, stubby little hands he would want to keep his fingers out of sight, but no, not him.

(32,726 posts)Katy Tur spent about 17 months travelling with Trump's presidential campaign. She has lots of tidbits and gossip, backgrond stories which are to be expected of that type of a book. Anyway Tur writes that Maggie Haberman was Trump's go-to reporter for any interview or a hot story, Maggie usually got there first. I believe Michael Wolff wrote the same thing about Haberman in his book "Fire and Fury" about the first year in the Trump White House. So it appears that for at least 2 - 1/2 years, Haberman had been Trump's #1 go-to newspaper reporter.

(12,158 posts)Just now I googled Maggie Haberman Wonkette and found a whole gob of Wonkette articles about her. Wonkette isn't fond of Maggie. Here's one piece about her:
Hi Maggie Haberman, it is yr loyal Wonkette! HI HI HI!Cont'd: https://wonkette.com/624241/hi-maggie-haberman-new-nyt-social-media-guidelines-did-you-read-them-maggie-haberman-did-you
We assume you are doing swell today and, as its mid-afternoon right now, we imagine you had a very successful morning of blocking people on Twitter and being kind of so-so at journalism. Last time we visited with each other, we were gently constructively criticizing one of your #HotTakes on Twitter, right before Tom Price was quit-fired as HHS Secretary for all his grifting. You said if theres one thing Donald Trump doesnt like, its waste or the appearance of waste. Wonkette said, Oh boy, how much does the Trump regime pay you to tweet bullshit like that? Or is that just the price you pay for access? Boy howdy, we reckon you are full of shit! It was a good conversation we had that day!
We just wanted to check in and make sure you had gotten a copy of the New York Timess new social media guidelines, because they seem to be directed at you, just a little bit maybe. Oh wait, you did! The memo actually says you signed off on these guidelines! Anyway, we wanted to highlight two parts, in case your colleagues slipped them in when you werent paying attention.

No judgment, just noticing. Pay attention to the numbers, because 1,414 people isn't many. I mean, it's good and certainly this is Trump's umphteen millionth lie he's been caught in, but...

(38,010 posts)Her mother's PR firm used to represent the Donald:
At Rubenstein, Nancy Haberman is no coffee girl. Her bio lists her as Executive Vice President, and gives her history as Rubenstein, Home with kids for six years, Harper and Row Publishers, New York Post. Later in her bio, it states, Has a family of journalists. And the kids she was home with now have kids of their own. Nancys area of expertise: Traditional media, i.e. print, radio, and broadcast. Big emphasis on New York media. General interest stories, medical, breaking news, nonprofits, education Lends media support to other peoples clients with her relationships established over 30 years.
Although Nancy claims shes never met Donald Trump, she has admitted to doing PR for him (because, it would be impossible to deny).
As for her PR firms history with Trump? Well, thats a deeper dive.
Howard Rubensteins work history with the Trump family began early with Fred Trump. Then in 1990, when Donald and Ivana were going through their divorce, Rubenstein took on Donalds personal PR doing the dirty work of spinning that nasty mess into something that wouldnt tarnish Donalds name and brand irreparably. Because thats the real nature of PR, isnt it? The Brand...
