When he first got removed, he started his "summit church" at the now defunct Wild West World. If you don't remember, that was Wichita's new western amusement park that closed and was in bankruptcy within 3 months of opening and the owner went to prison and is now out and last I knew was raising alpacas in Texas.

He is very involved with operation rescue and is nuttier than a fruit cake

VERY flimsy basis for this whole belief in a rapture.

is that these people's faith supersedes their belief in the here and now. The secular world means nothing to them. It is the promise of life-everlasting in God's glory that motivates them. If he could use his position - purposed Sec. of State - to advance the end of days, he will do it.
