I would have thought anybody knew the point of a fundraiser was to, you know, RAISE FUNDS! They lowered their funds on this little CF.

They couldn't even raise $55,000 to break even. To make this kind of expenditure, they believed that they would raise enough money to pay for the venue and make a profit. They barely made enough to pay the speaker.
