If I owned a golf course, I would be more likely to welcome my guests, than call police on them.

I hope he was lookin’ for attention, ‘cause he mighta just found it! Some places with liquor license can get in big trouble, if owner overdrinks there.

I think you're confusing literalism with licentia poetica (used to denote the distortion of fact, alteration of the conventions of formal grammar or language made by an author in the name of sentiment).
