LGBT kids literally kill themselves thanks to the logic of one of the posts Reid may or may not
have posted.
The second paragraph of that post is why adult LGBT are often afraid of attempting to help young LGBT. I am in the process of attempting to help a student start a GSA at my school. I am getting push back for this. One big reason is the idea that somehow a GSA is adults convincing kids they are gay.
Now if you want to argue that she was hacked and didn't post this, I think the evidence doesn't support that but I will admit that is possible. If you want to say though, as more than a few people here have, that this statement doesn't matter, is similar to those that Clinton, Obama, and other Democrats have said, isn't homophobic, or that those of us who have a problem with this are just being hypocrites. Not just no, but Hell no.
I didn't vote for Sanders, nor do I think I will in 2020. I actually like Joy Reid's show. But this statement, if written by her in 2006 and she is lying about it now, that is a problem. It is a big problem. It isn't not agreeing with me on marriage equality. It isn't being against employment protections or military service. It is outright bigotry which literally kills children. It matters.
