Sometimes it seems as though memory deficits are becoming epidemic. Sometimes.

If they succeed, I think we'll lose again in 2018 and fail to regain control of at least one house of Congress. If that happens, we may lose everything.

I'm old. I was hoping to see us move forward in a progressive direction during my lifetime. I'm beginning to worry now that we're going off in the opposite direction. I will hate to see that happen.

Studies in the psychology have found that when groups grow large enough that individuality has a lesser value in the social order, the group starts becoming stressed as members fight to retain their importance in the social order. You have alphas and wanna-be alphas fighting for position.

The more individual control a person requires in their lives, the sooner they are to start attacking anything that threatens their sense of person and boundaries.

It doesn't matter if someone views themselves as a liberal or a conservative. Personalities with high ego or emotional needs will always look for causes and activities to set themselves apart and maintain a sense of individuality amongst the masses.

If it means destroying a percieved enemy or bringing about a revolution to immediately right some wrong, they'll eagerly embrace it - no matter what results are in the long run. Because it's better for their sense of self.
