Still Willing To Take That Bullet, Mikey?
In light of your best buddy, pal and friend throwing you under the bus on Fox & Friends this morning, you might want to reassess the wisdom of your own words, and the futility of believing that Trump will ever raise a finger to defend you.
There has been much speculation of late as to whether your “pResident” has been signalling to you and others that if you stay strong in your fealty to him, there’s a bigly pardon waiting at the end of the road. If your brain is still functioning, you must know by now what an empty promise that is.
The truth is that after all is said and done, your hero probably won’t be in a position to hand out any pardons to anyone. And even if he could, he won’t. You, like everyone else in his life, are expendable.
Given your “pResident’s” history, you know – better than most – that his word is worthless. Just ask the workmen he has stiffed, the suppliers he has refused to pay, the so-called charities he’s used to collect funds that wound up in his own pocket. No doubt you yourself, “The Fixer”, are more aware than anyone just how effortlessly this professional grifter tosses aside anyone foolish enough to trust him.
Over the past few weeks, the entire planet has been made aware of the utter contempt in which your alleged BFF holds you. He has humiliated you, embarrassed you in front of your family, friends, and professional associates – and now he’s gone one step further by insisting that you are pretty much a low-level nobody who doesn’t warrant so much as an acknowledgement that you ever held a position of importance in his life.
It’s time for you to wake up, Mikey – you and everyone else foolish enough to believe that your loyalty to The Donald is a two-way street. It’s not. He would see his own children pressing plates in Leavenworth if it meant saving his own ass.
Speaking for myself – and millions of Americans – I don’t give a rat’s ass if you spend the rest of your life behind bars. In fact, a maximum-security prison might be a good place for you to ponder just how despicable your own behaviour has been – like threatening those who had the balls to stand up to your “pResident” when he cheated them, stole from them, or accused him of conduct unbecoming a decent human being, no less the so-called “leader of the free world”.
But I do have empathy for your wife and children, whose lives are about to be ruined by your blind loyalty to a lying con-man whose only concern is his own well-being. Admit you were a fool, spill your guts, and hope – for their sake, at least – that you can cut a deal that will salvage what’s left of their lives, if not your own.
You’ve been had, Mikey. There is no pardon in the offing; there is no magic wand to be waved that will restore your career, your professional reputation, and your self-respect.
Perhaps you can take some small comfort in knowing that you are not alone in having been betrayed, given that your beloved messiah has betrayed the entire country. You’re just one of many ”I’d take a bullet for the guy” fools now residing under the ”I hardly knew the guy” bus – something that will no doubt be a topic of prison-yard conversations among many of you in the years to come.
You’ve already been made a fool of by the man you’ve made a career of defending, supporting, and making excuses for – a man who you sacrificed your own self-esteem for in order to “fix” his inconvenient fuck-ups, and clean-up his many messes.
It might be time to cut your losses, mitigate your damages, and save yourself by whatever means possible – because if you’re holding your breath waiting for your BFF to come to your defence, you’ll be dead of asphyxiation before the ink on your indictment is dry.
